Manage App Collaborators

Invite teammates to your app, assign their roles, and transfer app ownership.

Overview

Collaborators let a team work on one app. Each collaborator has a role — Owner, Admin, or Developer — that sets what they can do in the Developer Portal.

Open your app in the Developer Portal and go to the Collaborators tab. It lists each collaborator’s email and current role. Select View Permissions to see what each role can do.

An app has one Owner. Only the Owner can delete the app or transfer ownership.

Add a Collaborator

Owners and Admins can invite collaborators.

  1. On the Collaborators tab, select Add Collaborator.
  2. Enter the person’s Email Address.
  3. Choose a Role: Admin or Developer. Developer is selected by default.
  4. Select Send Invitation.

The invitee gets an email. After they accept, they can open the app with their role’s permissions.

Remove a Collaborator

Owners and Admins can remove collaborators.

  1. On the Collaborators tab, open the menu (⋮) on the collaborator’s row.
  2. Select Remove from Project and confirm.

The person loses access to the app in the Developer Portal.

Transfer Ownership

The Owner can make another collaborator the Owner. Transfer Ownership is available once the app has at least one other collaborator.

  1. On the Collaborators tab, select Transfer Ownership.
  2. Choose the new Owner and confirm.

If the Owner has left your organization, email [email protected]. Procore can reassign ownership when specific criteria are met.

An app’s production access follows its Owner’s verification. Transfer ownership to someone verified for the right path. See Verification & Production Access.

Give Collaborators Sandbox Access

Collaborators need their own account in your Developer Sandbox company to test there. As the Owner:

  1. Sign in to your app’s sandbox company and open the Company Directory tool.
  2. Select Add User.
  3. Fill out the Add User form and select Create.
  4. Set the user’s permissions and project settings.
  5. Select Save and Send Invitation to Procore.

After they accept, they can use the sandbox and its credentials. See Add a User Account to the Company Directory and Edit a User Account in the Company Directory.
